Jessa and Ben Seewald are settling in to married life quite well, it seems, and a baby would probably be the next thing on the 19 Kids & Counting stars's agenda, right? Many fans were shocked but excited to hear that Jessa's older sister Jill, who married Derick Dillard last summer, was expecting her first child right after the wedding, but does that mean Jessa is practicing the same actions? According to E!, Jessa and Ben are planning to adopt. In the new issue of People magazine, out March 2, the Seewalds reveal that they "hope to adopt a lot of kids." But is the newlyweds's decision of opting out of having a biological baby leading to fights in their marriage?
Jessa said, "If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt."
Her husband Ben, who's only 19, added, "Kids are so important."
Jessa admitted that the couple wanted to adopt before they tied the knot: "Even before we were married, we wanted to adopt."
Despite wanting to give love to other kids who aren't their own, Jessa revealed that their is some pressure of having her own biological child from some family memebers.
While visiting her family, Jessa claimed that one of her younger sisters asked her if she was going to be an aunt anytime soon.
"She asked if I was pregnant, and I said, 'No, I'm not,'" Jessa said of her sister Jordyn Duggar, 6. "And then she said, 'Well, you look pregnant!'"
Ben revealed that Jessa's weight is often something the two fight about.
"We fight about this. Jessa thinks she's fat, but she doesn't remember all the times people tell her that she looks great," he admitted. "Her sister is used to people in the family getting married and being pregnant right away. Of course, she's going to look at Jessa and says she's pregnant."
"We try not to argue," Ben said. "We try to bring it up and say, 'Hey, we need to talk about this.' We can't let it define our relationship."
Jessa described her man as sensitive: "Ben is a very sensitive guy, and he looks out for my feelings."
In marriage there will be ups and downs, as Jessa said, "If we have a hard time and we talk about it, you just love each other so much more afterwards. After a disagreement, I often feel, 'I have never loved you more than I love you now.'"
