No matter what an actor does after portraying James Bond in 007 films, any kind of interview will eventually end up on the subject. Recently, actor Idris Elba has been rumored as a possible replacement of Craig when he's finished with the series. You can read more on that here!
It turns out that Brosnan is pretty fond of this rumor, too.
"Yeah, he would actually," he said, adding: "Colin Salmon also."
Though this is the first time Salmon's name has so publicly been linked to Bond, Brosnan definitely picked a good candidate. Though he is in his 50s, Salmon looks the part and has some action roles under his belt. You may remember him from the Resident Evil movie franchise as well as costarring in Brosnan's Bond film Die Another Day!
Closing out the pleasant discussion of 007 and the actors surrounding the role, Brosnan stated: "May the best man get the job and may Daniel bring home the bacon for as long as he wants."
