Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Beef: American Idol Fight Was A Set Up For Ratings, Fans Get Invovled

Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey's American Idol fight went viral this week and Minaj is blaming "Idol" producers for instigating the fight between Carey and herself. According to TMZ, sources close to Minaj are saying she is very convinced that Carey and producers are intentional pissing her off to boost ratings.

 The furious rapper does not want to be anyone's puppet and adamantly vows to walk off set if Carey "acts up."  Apparently, "Idol" producers were very upset with the outbursts and are trying their best to keep the peace between the two divas.

During the outburst Minaj, went beyond name calling. TMZ sources say, Nicki was heard threatening Carey saying, "If I had a gun, I would shoot her."

 However, Carey shot right back with her own insults and told Minaj, "Oh why, why do I have a three year old sitting around me?" As Minaj continued with her yelling Carey can be heard saying, "I can't see my kids, because you decided to act like a little crazy bitch and go all around the stage." The feud kept going on until Randy Jackson had to settle them down.

 Apparently, the fight was over a disagreement about contestant's performance. Clearly, Minaj seemed to be over Carey's antics and hates it when she runs down her "resume"  of accomplishments every time they get into a debate.  After their first heated debate TMZ reported:

"Carey and Nicki Minaj went at it during the first "A.I." taping Sunday in NYC. When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt -- not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah."

Fans have been going to war with each other defending their idols. One of Carey's "Lambs" @Stardusth2o tweeted:  "Ya know, we're called lambs, but we will turn into WOLVES to defend Mariah. You seriously can't come for her."
