Say it isn't so! After rumors that Charlie Sheen was making his triumphant return to Two and a Half Men during the much anticipated series finale, it seems that negotiations have fallen through. While the star left the sitcom after it was reported that there were issues between him and creator Chuck Lorre, it seems that their friendship was back on track. However, talks between the two quickly went south as to whether or not Charlie would be appearing in the finale episode of the series.
According to Radar Online, it seems that the negotiations "imploded," between the former star and the series creator, when it came to how Sheen would appear in the series finale.
"[Negotiations] just didn't go anywhere," the insider explained. "The two sides were unable to come to an agreement about how Charlie's return would be handled."
There didn't appear to be any harsh feeling between the two, as it was previously reported by Radar, "There is no more bad blood between Charlie and Chuck."
"They made their peace awhile ago," a source explained to the site. "Chuck has offered Charlie the opportunity to return for the series finale of the show, and both sides are talking about making it happen. No decision has been made, and Charlie wants to be comfortable with what the plans are for his role."
It seems that Charlie wasn't comfortable with the role, as he didn't agree with Lorre on the decision.
However, despite his absence it seems that the finale episode is going to be amazing, as star Jon Cryer explained to Entertainment Tonight.
"It's absolutely crazy," the star told the news site. "We are not shooting this the way we normally shoot a show. We've got all kinds of specials guests."
The series finale of Two and a Half Men will air tomorrow on CBS.
