N.W.A. and Public Enemy are nominated for the Rock-n- Roll hall of fame. The Hip Hop pioneers are to join a list of popular prospects such as:  Donna Summer, Chic, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Rush, Deep Purple, Heart, and the Meters. As Hip-Hop music innovators, N.W.A. and Public Enemy are the first to make the ballot in their first year of eligibility.

German techno- pop group, Kraftwerk is nominated as well. The electronic dance group is up for an induction since being eligible in 2003.

The 28th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will be on April 18, 2013 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Inductees returning to the list includes disco star Donna Summers (who died in May from lung cancer) and Chic, who is known for fueling the way for rap are bother to be top contenders.

Even though, Disco and Hip Hop stars are making headlines, rock acts and first time nominees, Deep Purple and Rush made the ballot after being snubbed. In order to be eligible a group or an artist had to put out their first single or album at least 25-years before, which means about 1987 for this year's nominees.

Fans are to be included in the voting process, which is a first. Fans can go to Rollingstone.com and begin voting up until December 5th. The top five winners will be on the "fan's ballot."

So fans, which artist will you think will be inducted?
