"This film marks IMAX's first foray into the Terminator franchise and we're thrilled to be a part of it and team up once again with Alan Taylor and our friends at Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions," Senior Executive Vice President of IMAX, Greg Foster exclaimed in a press release this week. "We believe it's going to be a gangbusters summer at the movies next year, and Terminator Genisys is sure to be one of the season's most anticipated movies for IMAX fans worldwide."
The film was not shot with IMAX technology, so it will be remastered to fit the larger screens in order to capture all of the action for the great movie experience.
"We are so proud of the world we have built in Terminator Genisys and are thrilled that audiences will be able to experience the film in IMAX and IMAX 3D," the film's producer, David Ellison said, according to Slash Film.
