Fox's 'Gotham' Recap: 'Red Hood': Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue Meet Joker's Gang In "Batman" Prequel!

The Batman prequel, Gotham, returns with an all-new episode on Fox. As a major DC Comics villain makes his way onto the TV screen, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) will meet The Joker's other split personality and his former gang in 'Red Hood.'

The bank robber wearing the red hood takes charge during the heist. When the police arrives, the man with the red hood throws the bank's money away. While Gordon and Bullock investigate the footage of the robbery, they realize the thieves were scoping out the response time and spot his car mechanic uniform. 

During a rainy right, Alfred reunites with Reggie (David O'Hara), a former war buddy, after 20 years. After his string of bad luck, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) wants Reggie to stay over. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) realizes she was kept underground of a mental institution, run by the Office Manager (Jeffrey Combs).  

While the bank robbers are arguing amongst themselves, the red hood is passed to another. Fish realizes there is a higher boss, The Doctor, above the Office Manager. Fish gets a name, Dollmaker, and a new set of clothes. At his club, Penguin (Robin Taylor) is auditioning stand-ups and realizes he's out of booze, which is run by Sal Maroni (David Zayas). 

At the auto shop, the detectives discover a dead body in the fridge. The red hood gang strikes again, and give away the bank's money again. Bullock is mad that the crooks are thought as heroes. An eye witness wants his parking tickets erased before he identifies anyone from the gang.

Reggie shows Bruce how to throw a punch and defend himself. After stopping the fight, Alfred reminds Reggie that Bruce made him a better person and their past should stay away. Penguin witnesses a group of crooked cops, friends of Butch's, are stealing Maroni's liquor. 

Young Catwoman and Poison Ivy are still crashing at Barbara (Erin Richards)'s place. Barbara offers the girls her own rich clothes. After getting spotted by the eye witness, the detectives decide to trail their suspect. Fish realizes the Office Manager is stealing body parts. She then stabs herself with a spoon, gouges out her eye, and steps on it. 

Bruce brings a bottle of wine for Alfred and Reggie, who drowns down his first glass. Reggie hints at the covert missions, revealing Alfred was a former prisoner war. Reggie reminds Alfred that he is a deadly guard dog. 

During the stakeout, the red hood is passed to another thief. The detectives discover the revenge robberies all lead to a third target. While Butch and Penguin make a toast, Alfred discovers Reggie stealing from the mansion. Reggie stabs Alfred in the chest before leaving him bleeding on the floor. 

The red hood gang are gunned down in a heavy shootout by the police. Gordon rushes to the hospital to check up on Alfred and Bruce. At Wayne Enterprises, Reggie reveals what Bruce knows about them. The board now wants to make a move against Bruce. 

The red hood is passed around again.
