iPod Touch 5th Generation Release Date Delayed 3 Weeks? Pre-order Now

The new iPod Touch 5th generation release date was rumored to be on Oct. 9, 2012 however there has no confirmation and it is now one day before that date.  According to Slash Gear, the iPod Touch release date will most likely be at the end of October.

The U.S. Apple online store opened up pre-orders for the iPod Touch however the expected ship date is not clear. It simply says "October"on the website.

The iPod touch comes in 6 different colors and boasts of a larger screen and slimmer body.  The 32GB will cost $299 while the 64GB is at $399.

One user reported that their iPod touch order changed to "preparing for shipment" on Oct. 8, 2012.

The iPod Nano is expected to release at the same time as the iPod Touch 5.
