Go ahead, Birdman - still refuse to release Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated new album, The Carter V. The YMCMB superstar will continue hyping new music, without help from Cash Money Records!
Weezy released Sorry 4 The Wait 2 several weeks ago. And now, the New Orleans emcee will host a live event in St. Louis promoting the viral mixtape. According to local St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Kevin C. Johnson, the gig will be hosted by LooseCannon Entertainment, LLC on March 14 at the Complex (formerly Coliseum Music Lounge, 2619 Washington Ave.) Things kock-off at 9 p.m. and tickets range from $50-100 - get more info here.
Perhaps Wayne's preparing for another tour, behind his boss' back?
Meanwhile, the "Only" crooner continues hyping the #FreeWeezyAlbum on Twitter:
@LilTunechi: "Woop! #FWA."
He also has other worries on his mind - involving sports. Now that the Greenbay Packers disappointed, Weezy's moved-on to the NBA:
@LilTunechi: "Dam dog I ain't kry in a minute but I woke up to da D Rose news & had to let one fall man. Good dude. Prayers up. Strength is savior. #FWA."
Beloved Chicago Bulls forward Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus in his right knee (again) and must undergo surgery (via ESPN.com). The 26-year-old b-baller was ruled-out indefinitely for the rest of the season, and his professional future now remains unknown.
Several fans and fellow players continue offering their support and well wishes on Twitter.
Obviously, this is more upsetting for Weezy than having to sue the CEO of his current record label. The two former "pals" are no longer on speaking terms, and there seems to be no end to the bitter feuding in sight. Do MstarsNews readers find the entire situation just sad and drawn-out at this point? At least it doesn't look like Weezy's slowing-down anytime soon.
Let's see what happens next!
