Nicole Kidman is no longer Mrs. Tom Cruise however, the private Oscar winning actress opened up in the 2012 Harpar's Bazaar magazine about her previous marriage and how she is "not caught up in any of" the Katie Holmes divorce gossip.  She also shared how her current husband and country superstar Keith Urban is "understanding" and "kind" and has given her "confidence" in her "sexuality."

The Australian actress first came to the US as an aspiring actress and became famous for marrying Tom Cruise after meeting him on the set of Days of Thunder.  She considered that period "fame by association."  In that time period where Kidman was married to the famous Cruise, "it was like, 'I'm here and I'm clutching onto your arm, and it all feels a little overwhelming and really strange,' " she remembered. "And I was shy. Deeply shy. I didn't feel comfortable at all. But I felt very comfortable at home."

She divorced Cruise in 2001 and her career took off.  She went on to win an Oscar for playing Virginia Woolf in The Hours.  "Having your work be the basis of fame, that's a far more stable feeling," Kidman said.

After being in the spotlight for 30 years, the actress admitted, "I don't really celebrate fame because I get enough attention. I'm willing to step aside. And when I work, I work. Wholeheartedly."

When she was asked about her ex-husband recent divorce with Katie Holmes, she felt that the gossip is "very, very fleeting. I'm not caught up in any of it. It's not really a part of my life."

She is very happy with where she is now.  Family is her number one priority and with two young children at home, she has every reason to want to be near the kids and hubby.

Kidman complimented Urban as "more like an ocean; he took me out."  He has filled the desire for "a bigger, stronger personality; that's what I've been drawn to. I need protection. Everyone wants to feel someone's got their back."

On picking movie characters to play, Kidman is daring and likes challenges.  Her recent role in Paperboy is somewhat controversial and even has a scene of her pissing on Zac Efron in one scene.

"I'm drawn to the psychology of really interesting, flawed people," she said.
