She might be off the show, but it seems that former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lydia McLaughlin's still just as much a part of the drama as ever. The star was featured on the show's Season 8, but decided to leave after just one year. It doesn't seem like she has stayed friends with all the ladies from RHOC, especially not Heather Dubrow. According to Radar Online, Lydia wanted to include Heather in her book Beyond Orange County, but the Hot in Cleveland actress put her foot down. The 34-year-old Christian author was hoping to put an "innocent" anecdote in her book about a time when she was filming with Heather, but the star was not feeling it.
"Heather told Lydia she did not want to be mentioned in her book at all," an insider explained to the site.
The story that she was going to tell played a big part in the story, as her filming with Heather was the first time she was in front of the camera. But the story was unable to be used, and Dubrow's named actually doesn't appear in the book at all.
While other members of the cast from Season 8 are mentioned, including Vicki Gunvalson, Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino, Dubrow's name is blatantly missing.
Despite her snub from Heather, it seems Lydia's still friends with Alexis and Gretchen as she even mentioned them in the acknowledgements in the memoir: "I am thankful for the friendship with Alexis, Jim [Bellino], Gretchen, and Slade [Smiley] that continue to grow."
Lydia also opened up recently to E! News about why she decided to part ways with the Bravo series.
"When I was asked back to do Season 9, I wanted to do it. Being on the show was everything that world tells us to desire and it was what I desired," the star explained. "But deep, deep down -- so quiet I could almost silence it -- I knew in my heart it was not God's plan for me to go back."
Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith & Happiness will be released April 14.
