Based on the crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified continues tonight on FX. Will Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) discover Rachel Brooks (Erica Tazel) has a "personal grudge" against Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins)?
In our previous recap, Ava unexpectedly rekindled her past romance with Raylan and kissed him. Elsewhere, Boyd met with Ava's uncle, Zachariah (Jeff Fahey) because he needs help breaking into Avery Markham (Sam Elliott)'s vault. With his knowledge of explosives, Zachariah will help out Boyd for the money, even though they don't like each other.
In our recent recap, after proposing to Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen), Avery ordered the death of Choo-Choo. In a blaze of glory, Choo-Choo went down in a fatal shootout with Raylan and Tim (Jacob Pitts). Though Ava (Joelle Carter) figured out which mine shaft Boyd and her uncle are working on, Limehouse (Mykelti Williamson) made a call to her house that threatens everyone involved.
In the episode, Alive Day, Art Mullen (Nick Searcy) mentioned Rachel was previously working on the Hale task force with Vazquez. Does that mean there is a more personal back-story between Rachel and Katherine?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tazel teases, "Originally, when we brought on Mary Steenburgen for those last three episodes of season 5, and there was that interrogation with Vazquez and we learned that they both were involved in that case, we were trying to get information for the final season. So we're going to see more of that, with the interesting backstory, and the professional backstory for Rachel. It won't be a major plot point, but it'll be referred to quite a bit."

Rachel is also having doubts about whether or not she can keep Raylan on the case because he is emotionally involved with Ava, and his past history with Boyd. Tazel describes Rachel's hesitance, "I don't know if she's completely comfortable with it, but there aren't a lot of alternatives at this point. So what's the lesser of two evils, to pull him off the case and start all over, or to roll the dice and hope for the best? We'll see what that leads to."
Don't forget to check out what Twitter had to say about Choo-Choo's death. We have 5 reasons why you should be watching the final season of Justified.
Justified continues Tuesdays, at 10 p.m. on FX.
Readers, are you excited to see how Boyd reacts to the call?
