In other news, George R.R. Martin has once again noted that fans far and wide should be prepared to get very, very angry and remain not too attached to their favorite characters.
The following comes from the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online.
"Tyler: In desperate need of spoilers of Game of Thrones!
Mr. George R.R. Martin himself tells me this on what's ahead when the show returns: 'There will be more killing. There will be more dying. There will be another wedding. There'll be some battles. There'll be more dragons.' Um, is it April 12 yet?"
British newspaper The Independent reports that Martin has warned fans to be prepared for four deaths in the show's fifth season. But it gets worse, because fans of the books aren't safe, either.
"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy," Martin said at the Writers Guild West Awards on Saturday. "Everybody better be on their toes. [Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] are even bloodier than I am."
That last statement is a tough one to swallow given GGRM's penchant for killing, well, almost all of his characters, but we'll take his word for it.
In related news Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, recently previewed what fans can expect this season. Turner spoke to The Huffington Post and discussed the relationship between Sansa and Littlefinger.
"I kind of love the storyline. I mean, for some viewers, it's very creepy, but that's kind of what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be this very messed up, twisted relationship in which Sansa knows she can manipulate Little Finger to get what she wants, and he can do the same with her. And together they create this amazing kind of tag team... To outsiders, it's very messed up and strange, but to her it's the only way she can get what she wants, and finally she has that power, so she's gonna use it."
