The Vice Presidential debate is available online free via the live stream video below starting at 8:00 p.m. eastern time tonight (October 11, 2012) The debate between Vice President Joe Biben and Vice President nominee Paul Ryan officially begins at 9:00p.m. with the broadcast starting one hour earlier. The two will debate about both domestic and foreign policies for 90 minutes with Martha Raddatz as the moderator.
The format of tonight's debate will be more laid back than the previous debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Ryan and Biden will be seated instead of standing behind a podium.
Raddatz is the Senior Foreign Affairs correspondent from ABC News and is also friends with President Obama based on the fact that he attended her wedding back in 1991. Does it matter? For some it does and it has drawn criticism from those who fear her objectivity in the debate.
It's expected to be an interesting debate tonight with Ryan leading in polls as the one who will win the debate. Policymic reported that independent voters believe Ryan will do better by a 42% to 25% margin.
PolicyMic Pundit Nathan Stringer predicted that "If all goes well, tonight should feel like a college sophomore finally confronting his wacky uncle about politics."
"The nephew, Paul Ryan, is both intelligent and promising - but he's also a college sophomore. The uncle, Joe Biden, has always seemed just a bit off from the rest of the family and frequently makes inappropriate comments and shares embarrassing family stories."
Live coverage will be provided by ABCNews.com and YouTube Politics.
