She's still the one. Shania Twain has just revealed that she will be making her much-anticipated comeback. The country singer revealed that she will not only be releasing new music in the coming weeks, but that she's in the process of recording some new music to get out to her fans. But while we have been waiting to hear this news for a while there is a little catch: This will be a farewell, Rock This Country tour for the "Come on Over" singer.
The star sat down on Good Morning America, where she revealed the excited news to her fans.
"I'm finally, after 11 years, I'm going back on tour," the singer, who currently has a show in Las Vegas, revealed. "It's been a long time. Eleven years. Finally going back on the road."
According to E! News, the 48-city tour is a huge milestone for Twain, as it will be her last time hitting the road.
"This is a very, very important time in my life on the road," the singer explained. "This is going to be a big, big tour for me because it's going to be my last. This is my last tour. I'm going to make the most of it, let's put it that way."
The tour, which is titled Rock This Country, will start in the next couple months, as it's set to kick off June 5 in Seattle and end Aug. 24 in Fresno, California. Fans can also expect the country crooner to add some new songs into her set-list as she revealed that she is currently in the studio working on new music.
"I'm working on the new record as we speak," the singer told GMA. "I'm on the microphone everyday recording stuff. So that's going to be coming up after the tour. I want it to come out when I'm 50, so it will happen. I'm going to make it happen."
Fans only have to wait another year as the singer will be turning 50 next year.
