A man who was caught trespassing at Miley Cyrus' Los Angeles home has been convicted of his crime.

The jury found Jason Luis Rivera, 40, guilty of misdemeanor trespassing and resisting arrest on Thursday. He is scheduled for sentencing on Friday and faces up to 18 months in jail.

Rivera was caught on Cyrus' property on Sept. 8 after climbing over the fence and banging on the door. He was also wielding a pair of scissors.

According to MTV UK, Rivera reportedly hid in some bushes and lit candles as Police rushed the scene. They then had to threaten to taser him before he finally surrendered from behind the bush with his hands above his head.

A Local TV station at the scene reported that Rivera claimed to be Cyrus' husband as he was carted away by police.

"I am friends with Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years," he said.

He was charged with trespassing and burglary at the time.

"Rivera thinks they were married. I would say delusional is a good characterization of him," said Lt. Brian Wendling of the Los Angeles Police Department at the time of the arrest.

Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth were not home at the time of the incident; however, it was someone who was inside the house that called the police.

The Daily News attempted to contact Rivera's court-appointed attorney, but phone messages have not been returned.
