Joy Behar Booed and Applauded For Honey Boo Boo Child Fat Kid Comments

The View's Joy Behar is at it again. She once called Honey Boo Boo Child Alana Thompson a "fat kid" back in September and received major backlash from viewers who felt she had no right to speak about the 7-year-old in that way and support from those who agreed with her.

Behar appeared on The Wendy Williams Show on Monday and told the hostess that obesity is a problem that needs to be resolved for the health of the people. Honey Boo Boo Child's family is no exception.

"I got in trouble on my show saying anything because I said that she was fat... the kid is fat," Behar said to Wendy Williams. "Boo Boo" is going to need a "moo moo," you know what I mean ?"

"They got mad at me, but I think childhood obesity is an issue in this country."

The 69-year-old told Huffington Post in a September 5th interview that she thinks Honey Boo Boo Child star Alana Thompson would grow up to be an obese woman if she keeps up her unhealthy diet following her mother June's footsteps.

"What's little Honey Boo Boo going to grow up to be? That's what I want to know?" Behar asks. "She's going to be a fat kid; she's going to grow up to be a big fat woman. She is, I can tell. She's just a kid, but you see the genetics are right there. She's going to have large boob boobs -- Honey Boobs Boobs."

What Behar said is what many people are thinking in the back of their minds, yet they feel they do not have the right to speak it out. Huffington Post reported that nutritionists are concerned for the family's health due to their junk food diet that is revealed on the show. The concoction that the 7-year-old drinks is unhealthily made up of a mixture of Mountain Dew soda and the highly caffeinated Red Bull.

"Wait until she grows to a 400 pound woman!” Behar said.

"Joy is absolutely correct. This is one of the biggest reasons I refuse to watch Honey Boo Boo. The child is doomed to being obese. She might be "cute" now, but not in a few years. The parents are doing her quite the disservice," wrote AnnieAdams.

"I just lost respect for Joy Behar. Degrading a child is just plain wrong! If Joy wants to criticize someone, she should criticize HBB's parents. After all, it's the child's mother who is pimping her out," said ubrowp2.
