Say what you want about Liam Neeson; his recent career as an action movie star is definitely one of the most successful of our generation. With the Taken series, this weekend's Run All Night and a number of other blockbusters over the last few years, there's no denying that there's a high demand for Neeson-led action movies - but how long can the actor, who is 62 years old, continue in this genre? According to Neeson, he's interested in "maybe two more years" of the genre and then he'll retire.

While appearing on Good Morning America, the question came up regarding how long he'd remain in the genre since he's been churning them out pretty quickly recently.

"Maybe two more years. If God spares me and I'm healthy. But after that, I'll stop [the action], I think," he replied, according to The Independent (via Slash Film). "I'm in a very, career-wise, great place. [After] the success of certainly the Taken films, Hollywood seems to see me in a different light. I get sent quite a few action-oriented scripts, which is great. I'm not knocking it. It's very flattering. But there is a limit, of course."

The Hollywood Reporter says Neeson's action movie career is more of a "resurgence" after starring in other genres like drama (Schindler's List), romantic comedy (Love, Actually), and more.

We think that, until that two-year mark hits, Neeson will get plenty of offers to star in more action movies, and Hollywood could be scrambling to reach out to him as soon as possible since he just announced this endgame.

What do you think about Neeson retiring from action films in two years? Do you think he'll stick to this plan? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
