Before the Fox show begins work on the third season, BOOM! Studios has something special for fans of Sleepy Hollow. Discover what life was like with Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) before they met the Headless Horseman in the Sleepy Hollow: Origins one-shot special.
After dying in the midst of battle during the Revolutionary War, solider Ichabod (Mison) awakes in the present-day Sleepy Hollow, New York. His sudden resurrection is connected to the reappearance of the Headless Horseman, who happens to be one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. To prevent the end of the world, Crane teams up with Mills (Beharie) to stop the Horseman's evil reign of terror.
As we previously mentioned, the 4-issue Sleepy Hollow miniseries followed Ichabod and Mills as they investigated minor miracles that started sweeping across the quiet town. But when these miracles started to backfire, becoming more and more violent, Abbie and Ichabod had to save the citizens of Sleepy Hollow before it's too late.
With the show just airing its second season finale, ahead of the third season, the new one-shot sheds light on the backstories and history of several characters. Written by Mike Johnson (Supergirl) and illustrated by Sons of Anarchy artist Matías Bergara, Johnson worked closely with the show writers on the project. These stories will be officially part of the canon.
Stories include Abbie's first days on the job, Jenny's time in an institution, and how Ichabod turned his back on King and Country. Readers will also learn how Henry was born as one of the Horseman of the Apocalypse, and relive the Hessian's life as Abraham.

With a cover by artist Joe Quinones (Howard the Duck), The Sleepy Hollow: Origins arrives in stores on April 8th.
