Fresh rumors have it that the iPad Mini release date in the USA is more likely set for November 2, 2012 rather than in October as other rumors suggested, according to Geek Gadgets. An invitation from Apple has been sent out on Tuesday inviting special guests to an event where they are expected to unveil new products including the iPad mini.
Just one month earlier, Apple released the newest iPhone 5 model which had quirks with the new Apple maps that has replaced the previous google maps application. Youtube was also removed from the iPhone 5. Despite that negative point, millions flocked to pre-order which proved Apple's place in the industry.
"Apple will start selling the new iPad Mini on Friday the 2nd of November, the device will be available in the US And UK on this date, possibly some other countries as well," Geeky Gadgets announced on their website. "The iPad Mini will go up for pre-order on the same week it is announced, possibly Friday the 26th of October, although our source was not 100 percent sure this would be the exact pre-order date."
CNET Asia also cited a possible November 2nd release date with a possible price starting as low as $249. The iPad mini is expected to rival the market dominated by the Amazon Kindle line and Google Nexus 7 which starts at $199.
The smaller tablet may attract those interested in a smaller tablet at a smaller price point compared to the regular iPad.
It is being released just in time for the holiday season and if the price is right, Apple may gain a good share of the market.
