One Direction Insult Van Halen? Wolfgang Van Halen Shoots out Livid Tweets about Boy Band Diss

Did members of the hit British boy band One Direction insult legendary rockers Van Halen? According to Wolfgang Van Halen that is exactly what happened - and the hard rock bassist is none too happy about it. The 21-year-old son of the infamous Eddie Van Halen sent out a trio of livid tweets on Tuesday, claiming that his crew had just been dissed by that "shi##y boy band #OneDirection."

Wolfgang didn't go into detail, but he sent out these angry posts on Twitter while touring in England:

@WolfVanHalen: "Fun fact: Was just insulted by that shitty boy band #OneDirection in the lobby of our hotel this morning! Greetings Birmingham!"

@WolfVanHalen: "No joke. That ACTUALLY happened. That group of kids in#OneDirection were dickheads to @IIEROCKII @GWDrums and I."

@WolfVanHalen: "They must call themselves that because all of their hair points in#OneDirection."

At the time of the alleged Van Halen "diss," One Direction was participating in a radio promo in Birmingham. The band sent out this tweet, having nothing to do with the supposed hotel confrontation:

@onedirection: "Day 1 of the #1DRadioTour! The boys have just left Birmingham heading for Manchester! Listen again details coming soon! 1DHQ x."

The boys of One Direction seem to have overlooked Wolfgang's livid tweets, but not their fans:

@1DAlerts: "A band named 'Wolfgang Van Halen' claimed that they got 'insulted' by 1D."

Even so, looks like Wolfgang is already over the insults. Soon after he began tweeting about the NHL lockout:

So wonder what even actually happened?
