The 2014 Corvette's new sports car model will unveil on January 13, 2013 and the new logo has been released.  The new logo was redesigned for the seventh-generation "Vette."  It features a cross-flagged design with a black and white checkered pattern on the left side and the standard red Chevrolet cross shaped logo on the right side.

The new 2014 model is also known as C7 and will boast of a sharper design both outside and inside.  The interior decor is expected to be a huge step up from the past interior designs.

General Motors plans to shut down their plant for six months to prepare for the new Corvette sports cars.  Gm spokesman Monte Doran told CS Monitor in a phone interview that the production plant will stop sometime around February to to renovate the body shop and retrain their employees.  The official production of the C7 model will start in the third quarter of 2013.

"With this car, because it's such a dramatic change, we felt like the best thing to do was to halt production so we could completely overhaul the interior of (the) Bowling Green (plant) to get ready for the new car," Doran said to CS Monitor.
