It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Chicago Blackhawks battle it out on the ice against the New York Rangers in Week 23 of the regular season on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m. EST at NYC's legendary Madison Square Garden. Heading into the final weeks of the 2014-2015 regualr season, the Blackhawks maintain the awesome No. 4 spot in Pierre LeBrun's official NHL power rankings for ESPN.com with a 42-21-6 winning record:
"The Blackhawks have won four of five games, including crushing the Sharks in San Jose on Saturday. Good tests this week with the two New York teams on the docket."
Chicago remains 3rd in the Atlantic Division.
Meanwhile, the Rangers hold the impressive No. 1 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 44-17-7 record and snag 1st in the Metropolitan Division. As LeBrun points out:
"They have gone a remarkable 15-2-3 since goalie Henrik Lundqvist was injured. Cam Talbot has proved a lot to many people, and maybe even to himself."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels NBCS and TVA, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 620 WDAE, WGN, ESPN 98.7 FM, and ESPN 980.
