It's easy to rekindle a flame, but the hard part is making the fire last. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's ex John Mayer found this out the hard way, as it seems like their second-time romance has once again burned out. The Prismatic beauty and the soulful singer started their relationship again in January of this year, but now two months into 2015 they have already parted ways. So why the break-up? Did they realize they just weren't meant for each other, especially now that Katy has apparently hooked up with Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons?
According to Radar Online, the couple getting back together was simply about being in the same place at the same time and it just felt right in the moment.
"Katy and John reconnected once she had a break in her Prismatic World Tour," an insider revealed to the news site. "So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last -- and of course it didn't."
So what went wrong this time around? Well, it appears Katy's busy schedule again played a role in the demise of the relationship.
"The reason they have split in the past is because Katy gets busy. John can't handle the lack of attention, and she can't handle the trust issues she has when she's so far away," a source close to the pair explained. "So they've learned that it's better to just take a break when they can't be in the same place."
So does that mean that these two will get back together should they both be in the same locale? Well, maybe, but that isn't stopping Perry from having a hot romance with Mumford & Sons member Winston Marshall.
According to Hollywood Life, Perry and Marshall were both in Berlin over the weekend, where they enjoyed each other's company at Schwuz nightclub.
"She hooked up with Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons just last Saturday," a source revealed to the news site. "They were totally making out and ended up leaving the party they were at to spend the night together at Katy's private hotel."
