MStars News has learn that New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher is filing for divorce from his wife, Candace after being married for 10 years. According to the New York Post, a spokesman for Fisher revealed that the former Oklahoma City Thunder star filed divorce documents on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
"This is a difficult time for me personally. For the sake of our children, I ask that everyone respects our privacy during this process," the Knicks coach said in a statement following the news.
Derek and Candace were married on Feb. 19, 2005, and have two children together, twins Tatum and Drew. The estranged couple also have one another child from a previous relationships.

Baller Alert claims that Derek is seeking a judge to grant him joint legal and physical custody of the children. The Fishers are also asking to split legal costs both ways.

The couple's decision to get a divorce comes as a shocker for most fans of the former NBA star. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary last month.

Fisher also played for the Lakers, and helped the team win five championships.
