Even though Amanda Todd may have felt unloved and hated during her 15 years of life on earth, she is currently honored and remembered worldwide through the strength of social media.  Through social media, she was tortured and bullied to death, but now the tables have turned.  Her story reached millions and is now inspiriting a revolution to bring change.  Bullying has hurt many people young and old, and has driven people to commit suicide, like in Todd's case.

The 15-year-old was threatened by a stalker online that followed her as she moved towns and schools to avoid bullying.  It all started with a seemingly harmless web chat where a man who told her she was beautiful convinced her to flash her breasts at a the young age of 12.  That image followed her and was used to torture her until she died.

"I can never get that photo back," Todd wrote on a flash card in a 9-minute video she posted on Youtube 1 month before her tragic death. "It's out there forever."

"Friends" and fellow students at her schools bullied her after the stalker circulated the naked photo to the people around her when Todd refused to "put on a show" for him online.  The pressure drove her to numb her sadness and miserable situation with drugs, alcohol, cutting, and even a suicide attempt with bleach.  Even when she failed to die at that time, bullies in her school sent messages that read, "She deserved it. Did you wash the mud out of your hair? I hope she's dead"  Some even cruelly recommended her to use stronger bleach the next she attempts suicide.

"Every day, I think, why am I here?" another flash card read in her black and white video.

Though this incident happened a few weeks ago, many tribute pages have been made to remember Amanda Todd and other bully victims.  RIP Amanda Todd.
