A$Ap Mob founder, the late Steven Rodriguez aka A$AP Yams death has been revealed to be an accidental after mixing drugs a spokeswoman for New York City's chief medical examiner said on Thursday, according to the New York Times.
According to NYT reporter Jon Caramanica's tweeted the accidental death was a result from an acute mixed drug intoxication, which included opiates and benzodiazepine.
"It's actually pretty rare to see somebody only using only one," said Dr. Michael Kelley of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ME told MTV, "Benzodiazepines and the opiates both can cause death when you take too much of them. But they potentiate each other - they make each other stronger. And so one plus one doesn't equal two; it equals three or four."
Rapper A$AP Rocky opened up about the sudden death of his friend who was laid to rest on Jan. 25 in New York City's Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home.
The rapper spoke to Billboard about dedicating his short set to A$AP Yams, "That performance -- that was just going to stop me from crying," Rocky added, "I had to address it, because the whole time I was rapping and I wasn't into it, which is sad, but I just gotta keep it real. I can't front. It's even harder knowing that I gotta fly out in less than an hour just to go bury him. That's the part that eats at me."
ASAP mourned his friend's death on Instagram, "R.I.P YAMS, I LOVE YOU BROTHER."
ASAP Ferg also wrote, "You will be missed Bro. We done touched a lot of ground together, landed on a lot of different soil," A$AP Ferg wrote on Tumblr. "You will always be loved & your spirit will live on!"
