Kristen Stewart stars alongside Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming sci-fi/romantic drama, "Equals." Rumors initially suggested that Jennifer Lawrence broke things off with Hoult last summer because the 25-year-old actor was getting too "flirtatious" with the former "Twilight" sweetheart while filming. However, K-Stew and Hoult apparently never indulged in a romantic fling while working together.

Or did they?

During a recent interview with ET Canada during the annual South by Southwest Film Festival in Texas earlier this month, the "Warm Bodies" heartthrob praised 24-year-old Stewart as a multifaceted actress:

"I don't want to give away too much about the film... But [Kristen's] a real artist and someone who's incredibly talented and great at like you know, improvising and taking lines and developing them and just working the story out. I can't talk highly enough of her."

"Equals" (directed by Drake Doremus) will likely hit theaters sometime later this year. No official trailer has yet to be released.

Well, do MstarsNews readers think they actually make a cute couple? Or does Jesse Eisenberg make a better fit for the "Still Alice" beauty...

Meanwhile, Stewart's career continues booming - she's too busy to worry about snagging another serious boyfriend!

And Hoult's schedule is pretty hectic, too. That's the "real" reason things didn't work-out with his former "X-Men: Days of Future Past" flame. Hoult's other new movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" will premiere in May:

Reporter Rick Campanelli dicussed the upcoming re-boot with Hoult at a recent SXSW party:

"I'm just glad everyone's going to get to see it... We filmed it two and a half years ago, and it's been in director George Miller's mind for many years more than that, so it's exciting... He knows that world that he created so perfectly, and each character. He knew my character's whole life story up until the day you meet him in the film... So when you've got that much information and such a great person leading the film, then it makes it kind of easy."
