Looking back on City's previous win this season against West Brom, Brazilian footballer Fernando says the past is the past.
"We played very well that day but they have changed their coach since that game and they have improved a lot so it won't be the same as last time," he said, according to his team's official website. "I enjoyed that game because I scored my first goal, but I can still give the team a lot more because I don't think I've been anywhere near my best this season."

Meanwhile, West Brom's Gareth McAuley explained that his team is fighting to survive this season.
"We've got a lot to play for with these nine games left," the defender told wba.co.uk. "There are a few teams that are a few points behind us but if you start looking at things like that you will soon find yourself slipping away. The gaffer is not having any of that I can assure you. The message from him is to finish as strongly as we possibly can and that's all we are thinking about. May is a bit of a lottery for us. We've got a really difficult group of matches in our last four or five games so the last thing we can afford to be is complacent."
