Deny, deny, deny! Despite the growing rumors, actor Jamie Foxx has denied that he's dating Katie Holmes. Photographers caught up with Foxx in a Los Angeles parking lot and asked him about the budding romance with Tom Cruise's ex.
"Oh come on, you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years," he said. "We're just friends."
He clarified that the two were working on an animation project with CSI creator Anthony Zuiker––nothing more.
"It's a part of our lives," he said about the never-ending rumor mill.
In fact, the rumors of the two being involved have been swirling for a while. They began back in August 2013 when the two were spotted dancing together at a soiree in the East Hamptons.
The rumors picked up recently, though, when a photo of the two holding hands made the rounds online.
"Jamie is someone she can trust and have fun with," a source told Us Weekly. "She's getting everything from Jamie that she didn't get with Tom."
According to another insider, Foxx is just as smitten with Holmes, referring to her using terms of endearment like "my girl –– as in 'my girl is calling.'"
A source told People that Holmes had been spotted visiting Foxx at his home and that "they spend hours together" at a time.
It's good news for Katie, who allegedly is not on speaking terms with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Sources say that there are "bad feelings on both sides," and that Holmes is unhappy with Tom's subpar level of involvement in their daughter, Suri's life. He reportedly hasn't seen Suri for months, as he's been away in London shooting Mission Impossible 5.
But so far, Cruise has no reason to be concerned about Foxx interfering with his quality time with Suri.
Sources say that Katie has not let Suri in on her relationship with Foxx and "is not ready to introduce Jamie...as her boyfriend. She doesn't know if she ever will," a source told Us Weekly. Foxx has done the same with his daughters Annalise, 5, and Corinne, 21. "Their time together is theirs. No kids allowed."
