Hurricane Sandy's projected path is going towards Jamaica and Cuba. Hurricane watch has also been issued for parts of the Bahamas including the central and northwest, Reuters reported. South Florida is being warned as well.
Cuban residents are staying indoors as they wait until Hurricane Sandy passes. Two airports have been shut down until the conditions become more safe.
With winds at 80 miles per hour, the hurricane it is considered a Category One hurricane. As it passes through the middle of Jamaica, it is expected to hit eastern Cuba. As it heads towards the Bahamas after that, the hurricane's intensity should weaken.
The South Florida coast may experience a Tropical Storm.
