If you watch HBO's Game of Thrones, then you should probably know the show will spoil the epic novels written by George R.R. Martin. David Benioff, co-creator of the television series, says Season 5 will cover everything in A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. The spoilers will come following the April 12 premiere.

Knowing that epic spoilers are upon us, Benioff has shown empathy for fans of the GoT series.

"I kind of wish that there was some things we didn't have to spoil, but we're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place," Benioff was quoted as saying in Vanity Fair.

The next book in the series is titled the Winds of Winter, and that will cover 2016's Season 6. Martin's publisher already confirmed that the book won't be coming out in 2015, so fans wishing to avoid spoilers but can't keep away from the HBO hit will have to hope it comes out in time.

Martin is working overtime on Winds of Winter in order to ensure this won't happen to his loyal fan base two years in a row. Last week, Martin apologized to fans hoping to meet him in Saratoga because he decided to keep himself cooped up at home until the book is done.

"Reluctantly, however, I've just had to scratch Saratoga off my list of 2015 appearances for no reason having to do with the con itself," Martin wrote on his blog. "I am sure it will be terrific. It's just a matter of time. I have too much to do. Too many things on my plate. Son of Kong foremost amongst them."

Season 5 of GoT will debut April 12 and will run for 10 episodes. This season will mark the first time Martin didn't write an episode due to time constraints for the sixth book.
