Chelsea Handler Claims Bill Cosby Nearly 'Cosbied' Her in Hotel Room During New Magazine Interview

During a new interview with Esquire magazine, Chelsea Handler was asked about the Bill Cosby accusations. According to Handler, she was nearly "Cosbied" a decade ago during a day where Cosby attempted to arrange a meeting in his hotel room.

"Someone from the hotel came down and said, 'Oh, you know, Mr. Cosby would really like to meet you up in his hotel suite.' And I thought, 'That's really weird,'" she said.

Handler then went on to say that she went up to meet Cosby with her film crew.

"So the three guys I was with -- thank God these guys were with me. One was filming and one was like a producer; we were filming something -- I brought them up with me to his room and thank God I did, because now I know what would've happened if I went up there alone," Handler told Esquire.

She had forgotten the incident entirely until one of her crew reminded her of it recently.

"You could have been one of his victims if we weren't there," he said.

Who knows what would've happened to Handler had she went up. Maybe it would have been a simple meeting. Maybe she would have joined a long list of Cosby accusers. Whatever the case may be, it was around that time a decade ago the first two Cosby women came out.

One woman in particular was even interviewed by Matt Lauer about her experience with Cosby, but the story didn't gain as much traction as it has now.

Tamara Green, the first Cosby accuser, spoke with Lauer back in 2005 -- around the same time Handler was asked to come meet Cosby -- about what happened. Green said Cosby had drugged her but she eventually fought him off.

"The center of my being understood that he had gone from helping me to groping me and kissing me and touching me and handling me and, you know, taking off my clothes," Green told Lauer.

"And I was furious and I'm throwing things around," she continued. "I had not been crushed successfully into submission and he left two $100 bills on my coffee table and he left my apartment."
