Lindsay Lohan's Rep Confirms Resignation: What Pushed Steve Honig to Quit?

What pushed Lindsay Lohan's publicist Steve Honig to quit his job? This is the question presently being asked by every media. However, it's yet to be answered.

Honig Thursday confirmed that he revoked his long-time professional agreement with the actress but declined to make any comment on the reason behind his decision.

"I have resigned as her publicist," Honig told to ABCNews.com.

Honig's resignation came in the midst of Lohan's ongoing legal troubles and public dramas. It is speculated that he must have quit the job in weary of handling a slew of problems involving her. "After Steve Honig began his role as publicist for Lindsay Lohan in May 2011, he's had to deal with more court dates, 911 calls and hit and runs that most publicist have in their career," opined ABCNews.

Meanwhile, Lohan's farther is also believed to have influenced Honig to put in his papers.

According to a TMZ report, Michael Lohan is said to be directly connected to the resignation of her publicist. It learnt that Honig did not have any problems with the actress and he quit the job because of her father.

Honig, however, ruled out this speculation. "Michael wishes he were that important," he said, according to TMZ.

Honig had been working as Lohan's mouthpiece since 2011, after her former rep Leslie Sloane, called it quits in 2010. He stood like a stone wall on her side during the trouble time and dealt with her problems ranging from accident cases to theft case.

Meanwhile, Michael has been thinking on his feet in a bid to protect his daughter form the troubles that she is presently reeling under. After his abortive rehab intervention, Michael has now sought to get his daughter placed under a conservatorship, to refrain her from abusing alcohol, drugs and avoid bad companies.
