The new Obama slogan, "Forward!" is sparking controversy instead of enthusiasm from other people. With the 2012 Presidential elections around the corner, some are comparing the President's slogan to Marxism.

Recently, the IBTimes ran a story drawing a connection between Karl Marx when he used the word "Forward" to attract Europens in a propaganda to change Europe's capitalism to communism and socialism ways. According to Obama campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki told the Associated Press the exclamation point was added to symbolize "the stakes in this election and energy at our events."

On April 30 Victor Morgan of the Washington Times wrote, "The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism."

People went on to twitter to vent about the slogan change and its similarities to Marx:

@TPMLiveWire said, "Romney Mocks Obama Camp Slogan: 'I call it Forewarned'"

@Aaalxndr said, " Obama adds an eclamation point to slogan. Verdict? Definitely communist."

@Common_Sense4U said, "WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION: OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN SLOGAN SHOULD BE "BACKWARD!', #teaparty #tcot #tiot #ocra"
