Hurricane Sandy Pictures: Fake Storm Photos Photoshopped Circulate the Web

As Hurricane Sandy went up its path hitting the East Coast states, fake storm photos emerged and circulated throughout the web. Social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter spread the pictures further. This hurricane was hit New York City and the Jersey Shore pretty hard this year. Storm surges brought water onto the shore and into many buildings along the water causing damages that will affect millions of people.

Some photos that were shared across the web were clearly photo-shopped while others were believable. Some real photos were shared that were taken from another storm that took place at a different location and time.
