Heartthrob actor Ryan Gosling, made a surprise an appearance for students at the Texas School for the Deaf. There were talks about the "Notebook" actor being in the area, but no one would have thought the actor would show up to the annual charity fundraiser event.
According to the Washington Post, Anne Adams, the school's foundation's executive director said, "We knew that Ryan was in town, and he's been on streets around campus often, so we were just pipe dreaming (and look what happened!)" Adam's added, "The film crew has been parking some of their trucks on our campus during filming because we have a 67-acre campus right in the center of the city and it's often used for such purposes."
Although, Gosling did not participate in the 5K Halloween run, he made sure he made his rounds and met with students to help the foundation raise about $20,000, "Ryan helped us out by paying $50 for a $1 glow in the dark cotton candy from a booth staffed by deaf children. It was very sweet," Adams said.
The former Mouseketeer made sure everyone that wanted a photo got one with the celebrity. Adam's told E! news, "Ryan was extremely kind, allowing lots of photo ops with fans and when the director told him, 'Enough,' he said, 'No, one more,' and pulled a small deaf child out of the line for a picture."
Gosling is in the area to film an untitled film for Terrence Malik. His latest movies, "Gangster Squad" and "Only God Forgives," will be released next year as well as the Malik film.
