Antonio Banderas, Lou Diamond Phillips, Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche, Gabriel Byrne, Juan Pablo Raba, Kate del Castillo, and more star in The 33, the film adaptation of the harrowing true story of the 33 Chilean miners that were trapped underground for 69 days. This could be one of the most emotional films of 2015, especially with this star-studded cast. Below, we've shared a brand new trailer for the film, so watch it now!

Though the tragedy that happened 5 years ago to the miners in this story was incredibly scary and sad, we all pretty much knew that it was only a matter of time before we got a movie adaptation. So here we are, but we don't know when the States will see the film! With an international cast, all speaking in English, though, we assume the cast and crew are hoping to get a U.S. release sometime soon.

Based on the real-life event - when a Chilean gold and copper mine collapses, a rock twice the size of the empire state building traps 33 miners a mile and a half underground for 69 days. The miners struggled through starvation and depression as their families fought to keep rescue teams searching for them, culminating in the unprecedented and miraculous rescue of all 33 men. A journey to hell and back, the story is taught with suspense and full of tenderness, as well as an unforgettable cast of characters.
