'Red Skull' #1 Spoilers: Will Chris Evans Captain America's Worst Enemy "Hunt" Marvel's 'Secret Wars?'

After arriving on the big screen with actor Chris Evans, Captain America's worst enemy is heading on over to Marvel Comics'  big event, Secret Wars. Will the Marvel superheroes and super villains have to team-up and hunt down Johann Shmidt in writer Josh Williamson and artist  Luca Pizzari's Red Skull #1.

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

In the plot synopsis, banished beyond the Shield long ago, the Red Skull has survived past the zombies  and defeated the Ultron robots. Word has reached the other side that Johann still lives, amassing his forces. While the Red Skull prepares to strike, a team of unlikely villains, Magneto, Winter Soldier, Lady Deathstrike, Electro, Moonstone and Jack O'Lantern, will venture beyond the Shield, where nobody ever comes back alive.

In an interview with Newsarama, Williamson's explains Bucky Barnes' role in the series, "He's conflicted by his hate and has a one track mind. I wouldn't really call him a villain here...he's just determined to get what he wants, even if it means teaming up with a bunch of bad guys. One of the best parts of the having the Winter Soldier is that he's one of Luca's favorite characters. So he'll do some kick a$ work there. Luca did some sample pages for Marvel years ago that featured the Winter Soldier and they were amazing."

The Nailbiter scribe discusses putting the Marvel baddies together, "This team is angry and has nothing left to lose," says Williamson. "They are forced to hunt down one of the most evil figures in Marvel's history. Any story about the Red Skull will have a disturbing feeling."

As we previously mentioned, Captain America is the villain in Hail Hydra #1, Flash Thompson, aka Agent Venom has to stop the Spider-Queen in Spider-Island #1, and Magneto leads the last remaining X-Men survivors against the Age of Apocalypse #1.

Red Skull #1 will arrive in stores sometime in July 2015.
