George R.R. Martin made a huge reveal regarding the eldest daughter of Eddard and Catelyn Stark, Sansa. Sansa has not been seen by Game of Thrones HBO fans in more than a year while fans of the books haven't heard from her in 10 years. Her last appearance was in 2005's A Feast for Crows. Well, if you've missed her, Martin released a chapter of The Winds of Winter that clearly marks her return.
According to Martin, she'll be returning under the name of Alayne. As of now, she's posing as Littlefinger's bastard daughter in Vale.
In the chapter, Sansa feasts on trout, salmon, duck, peacock, almond milk, suckling pigs and three huge fire-roasted aurochs paired with loaves of hot bread and roasted vegetables. She even has a 12-foot-tall lemon cake the shape of a giant's lance.
Littlefinger plays a big part in Martin's chapter reveal, as he coaches Sansa into seducing Harry the Heir. The reason for this is because Harry's set to inherit Eyrie from Sweetrobin.
Here's an excerpt from Martin's website:
"She was reading her little lord a tale of the Winged Knight when Mya Stone came knocking on the door of his bedchamber, clad in boots and riding leathers and smelling strongly of the stable. Mya had straw in her hair and a scowl on her face. That scowl comes of having Mychel Redfort near, Alayne knew.
"'Your lordship,' Mya informed Lord Robert, 'Lady Waynwood's banners have been seen an hour down the road. She will be here soon, with your cousin Harry. Will you want to greet them?'"
Season 5 of Game of Thrones is almost here. The highly anticipated return will draw from the fourth and fifth books in the series A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.
