'Mob Wives' Big Ang Hospitalized for Throat Tumor: Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano Co-Star Getting Surgery

It is a scary day for fans of Big Ang and Mob Wives, as the starlet is facing a pretty serious health crisis. The 54-year-old co-star to Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, and Drita D' avanzo has been admitted into the hospital and is receiving treatment for a throat tumor. Angela Raiola, better known by her nickname, got herself checked out at the hospital after she complained of neck pain, and medical professionals soon realized that what they were dealing with was a large tumor in the reality star's throat.

According to Radar Online, the star has been receiving treatment for the "lemon-sized' mass at a hospital in her hometown of Staten Island, New York. However, while she is being taken care of for the tumor it is still unclear if the growth is cancerous or not.

According to TMZ, the star was schedule to start work on a different reality series, but when she started to feel neck pain, she put those plans on hold. While the star is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for the growth, according to the news site she was spotted at a reality TV event over the weekend where she covered up her neck.

Big Ang is known for having a raspy, smoker's voice, but it is unknown if her affinity for smoking caused the tumor. However, she told NJ.com back in 2013 that she has found it hard to give up cigarettes in the past.

"I [quit] every year for like two months and then I go back," the starlet explained. "I don't want to smoke, but I just can't help it. Now, they give you this medicine and I don't like to take medicine. They want to give you this stuff- they say it gives you crazy nightmares. I don't need that. I'll just smoke."
