Hurricane Sandy 2012's path of destruction has impacted NYC, NJ and many other states in the United States more than Irene has last year. The total death toll count is more than 110 as of Saturday, November 3, according to the LA Times. New York City saw the most number of fatalities with 48 dead. The numbers could increase as officials are still cleaning up the rubble and tunnels of New York.
Many residential communities where the Hurricane Sandy has hit are still under mandatory evacuation leaving many people homeless and finding shelter elsewhere.
Deaths have been caused by fallen trees, car accidents, electrical wires, drowning and more.
