Candy Crowley made a mistake during her conversation with Ohio Senator Rob Portman on Sunday November 4, 2012. She accidentally called presidential hopeful Mitt Romney "President Romney" causing the two to chuckle on Sunday's State of The Union. Watch the video below.
Crowley said, "You have in Ohio a jobless rate that is better than the nationwide jobless rate, and you have an auto bailout that the President put in place that's highly popular. What is it in this state that makes you think that President Romney, uh, sorry, Governor Romney can overcome those particular statistics and the feel of the voters?"
Portman, who is a Republican, responded with a smile, ""I like your Freudian slip on President Romney. That sounded good."
The conversation quickly continued as if nothing happened. However, many web users began to criticize Crowley for her slip.
Here are what some people had to say about Candy Crowley's slip:
"If Romney does get to be President I don't think he will have much to say to Candy Crowley," Joe Fink remarked.
"Prophetic?" asked a web user by the name of mjm22128.
"What a way to be remembered Candy....." wrote vette19688.
A user by the name of supergalaxy2012 wrote, "How can you call Mitt Romney president?"
