Lindsay Lohan's legal troubles seem to be never-ending. The latest reports say that she may face possible imprisonment for allegedly lying to the enforcement officials about the car accident involving her in June.
If the embattled actress is found guilty of lying about the incident in order to mislead the investigating authorities, she may face a long prison term.
TMZ reports that the Santa Monica City Attorney would press charges against Lohan for lying to cops after her car crash incident in June on the Pacific Coast Highway. It said that the "Mean Girls" star claimed that "she was 'not' behind the wheel of her Porsche when it slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler. But the fact is , it was Lohan who bumped into the truck with her Porsche Carerra. Later, she was taken to hospital with minor injuries, where she was grilled by police in connection with the incident. According to reports, the actress claimed that she was not at the wheel when the car ran into the truck.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck alleged that Lohan's men sought to keep the incident off the record by bribing him.
The charges could add more troubles to Lohan's woes. She is already on probation in connection with a jewellery theft in 2011. The judge could perceive the charges as probation violation.
