'Person Of Interest' Season 4: Ep 19: 'Search And Destroy' Recap: Will Jim Caviezel's Reese Save Khan?

CBS continues Season 4 of Person of Interest with Episode 19. With Team Machine dwindling in numbers, will Finch (Michael Emerson) and Reese (Jim Caviezel) have to 'Search and Destroy' the all-powerful Samaritan before they can save Khan (Aasif Mandvi)?

Reese and Finch have been summoned to an abandoned warehouse full of weapons. Reese wants to teach Finch how to use a handgun. When they get a call from The Machine, Khan sees on the news he has been hacked. His own security software company wants to get him fired after their stocks fall. 

Every hacker wants a piece of Khan for making the ultimate firewall. Reese wants Finch to makeup with Root because they ned her on this mission. Dressed as a goth queen, Root (Amy Acker) unleashes a knockout gas ad steals a briefcase. Khan gets a call from his wife after nude photos of her show up on the internet. 

At the meeting, Zoe Morgan (Paige Turco) shows up for Reese to be their listening device. Due to embezzling charges, everyone approves of kicking Khan out of the company. Finch suspects though he threat is coming from within. Knowing Khan is unstable, Finch wants Reese to be careful with this hostile takeover. 

While Khan cannot reconcile with his wife, Zoe teases Reese about his new relationship with his therapist. Zoe realizes the attack on Khan is personal, not revenge against the company. With money and a gun, Khan intends on getting back at whoever screwed him over. 

Root blows up the tracker on the briefcase and defends herself against two attackers. At a bar, Khan lures in his friend and tells him his stocks were targeted during the stock market crash. He believes an artificial intelligence is chasing after him. Samaritan spots Khan through the bartender's cellphone. 

Finch though knows they cannot save Khan if Samaritan is the perpetrator. While Khan breaks into the building, Reese tries to cover up for him.  With Finch telling him to stop, Reese is unable to stop the NYPD from arresting Khan. 

Greer and his female assassin are watching over Khan. Martine (Cara Buono) has been given the kill order to go after Root. Fusco (Kevin Chapman) discovers Khan has been denied bail and transferred to prison. Locked up with tougher prisoners, Samarita  gives them money to kill Khan. Dressed as a prison guard, Reese arrives to save Khan.

After escaping from prison, Samaritan follows their prison van and forces them to crash. Root suddenly shows up to offer Reese a ride. The three are eating Chinese food while holding Khan chained up. Samaritan wants to use Khan's technology for its transponder.

Getting an address, team Machine goes on a road trip.  In the snowy woods, Root is picking up coordinates, which helps Reese to shoot cameras. They find an underground bunker where they discover Khan's servers have been reassigned. With danger on its way, Reese hands Finch a gun.

In an intense shootout, Reese and Root fire rounds at Marine and her men. Martine and Root fight in hand-to-hand combat while Reese saves Finch's life. Reese stops Root from killing Martine; it won't bring Shaw back. 

Root is then given numbers to unlock the briefcase, which holds a gem. Samaritan found software where it can check every file to find the Machine. The two get a call as Khan is taken to Greer. After giving him answers, Greer shoots Khan dead and smokes a cigar.
