Lil Wayne isn't the only rapper currently upset with Cash Money Records. Former Hot Boys emcee Turk hopes that he can teach Bryan "Birdman" Williams a wise lesson, too.
After Weezy sued Cash Money for a whopping $51 million, the "Untamed Guerilla" superstar followed suit by filing his own case against the popular hip-hop label. In fact, Turk ultimately blames Birdman for "ruining" any possible reunion with Wayne over the past few years:
"It was like somebody was stopping us from coming together. It was something," Turk explained during a recent interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club. He then elaborated:
"It was Baby. I just feel like Baby stopped a lot of us. It's just like if this is your boss [and] your boss don't mess with him, so you don't wanna mess it up with your boss."
But thankfully, things are now changing...
So, how about up-and-coming rapper Young Thug deeming his new upcoming album Carter Six? Pretty big blow aimed directly at Weezy, right?
thuggerthugger1: "#c6otw 4/17."
Well, according to Turk, not exactly. The media makes it seem that Thug is blatantly "disrespecting" the "Lollipop" crooner. And now, the "Lifestyle" emcee is of course using that extra attention to boost his own fame and success. Therefore, this so-called industry "beef" is basically fabricated . Interesting...
"I like Young Thug's music. I think Young Thug wanna be Wayne whether directly or indirectly," Turk muses. "He said it... I believe he looks up to Wayne."
