While DC was putting together plans to move their offices to California, Marvel has been on fire this year. Daredevil debuted on Netflix with an undeniable, critically acclaimed bang and Spider-Man finally left the land of Sony and is 100% the property of Marvel and Disney. Since the big announcement one of the bigger fans of the move has been Iron Man star, and Marvel deacon, Robert Downey Jr.

RDJ says he's really excited by the move.

"However we spin it, we're going to try and defy the expectation of what it would mean," Downey told IGN. "That's been the directive from jump. But I think that a great job has been done with Spider-Man so far. And I think that the direction that Spider-Man is going to take is exactly what the fans would be delighted to see."

With Captain America: Civil War getting ready to conquer summer box offices next year it was imperative that Spider-Man be signed Marvel. If there was one cog in the Civil War puzzle that needed to be there it was Spidey himself. In the Civil War comicbook series Spider-Man started on the side of Iron-Man, revealed his identity, and then jumped shipped to Cap's rebels after he realized Iron-Man was just messing with the freedom of super heroes.

While it's unknown who will be playing the role of Spider-Man there are a few things that are guaranteed. For one, it will be Peter Parker putting on the mask. Many speculated whether it would be Parker's Ultimate Universe counterpart donning the Spider gear.

The next is that Spider-Man will be a teenager. In the Amazing Spider-Man movies we saw Parker in high school but he eventually graduated and went on to college. The upcoming Spider-Man movies will solely be based on his teenage life as Stan Lee did in the early 60's.
