WWE taped the April 16, 2015 edition of Thursday Night SmackDown from London on Tuesday, and the episode begins with United States Champion John Cena.
Cena does his usual schtick and then explains that a Russian Chain match is essentially a Strap Match. He then issues his customary open challenge, and Tyson Kidd and Cesaro come out. They say that they are the best champions in the company, which brings out Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan. This, of course, leads to a tag match for later in the night with Cena and Bryan against Kidd and Cesaro.
Bray Wyatt squashes R-Truth.
The Mix cuts a promo on Damien Mizdow when Bad News Barrett comes out. Barrett squashes Miz with the Bullhammer.
Renee Young interviews Mizdow, but Miz interrupts to say he wants Mizdow to stop using his name and likeness. Mizdow challenges him to a match on Monday Night Raw next week for the rights, and Summer Rae slaps Miz.
Adrian Neville defeats Sheamus by disqualification when Sheamus slams him through the announce table. He then attacks Neville after the bell, but Dolph Ziggler saves him. This sets up a match between Ziggler and Sheamus at Extreme Rules.
The New Day defeats Los Matadores.
Fandango breaks up with Rosa Mendes, who is comforted by Adam Rose. Fandango later defeats Rose even though Mendes tries to distract him.
Big Show comes out and cuts a promo to ask the Authority to book him against Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing Match at Extreme Rules.
Cameron defeats Alicia Fox and Natalya.
Bray Wyatt cuts another mysterious promo.
Bryan and Cena defeat Kidd and Cesaro. This match, as you may have heard, featured a run-in by some dopes from the crowd who pulled off a few moves on each other before security chased them away. Bryan gets the hot tag and he beats Kidd with the Yes! Lock.
