Usually kids move out of their parents home at the age of 18, maybe 21 or at least right after college. MStars News has learned that Bow Wow a.k.a. Shad Moss and his fiancé, Erica Mena, are still living at home with his mother!
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Moss admitted that he loved staying under same roof as his mother.
“It just makes sense,” Moss thinks as he talked about the 8-bedroom Atlanta mansion he, his fiancée Erica Mena, and his mother, Teresa Caldwell, along with his daughter, Shai stays in. “First of all the house is too big, but I want to make sure my mom is comfortable forever.”
Moss even knew that he wanted to still stay in the house after tying the knot to Mena this summer. Which makes sense, after she revealed that their wedding venue was looking like Atlanta.
“I remember when I first moved to Atlanta and Jermaine Dupree had the same situation,” he recalls. “He took part of the house and his mom had the whole rest of it. I said then that I wanted to have the same set up.”
But is Moss only staying in the house to save money after his soon-to-be wife decided to quit one paycheck, the Love and Hip Hop New York show?
The rapper and actor revealed that he and Mena are remodeling the basement, as his mother lives on the main floor and second floor.
“It’s like I have a condo downstairs,” The rapper said. He also has a pad in L.A. when he works in Cali. “I’ve had 100 people there and my mom has been asleep and has never heard the music, screaming, laughter, or drinking. I mean full blown house parties downstairs while she is in the bed asleep. So I’m staying right here.”
Moss claims that his house is so big that there are days he doesn't see his mother.
“There’s times where I’ll be down there for three days and we don’t see each other so it’s like I’m out of town even when I’m here,” he added, “I don’t have to get in the car and drive anywhere to see her. I just come up the stairs and say, “What up, Mom.’ ”
It appears that some fans don't agree with Bow Wow living with his mother and sleeping with his woman under the same roof.
According to The Shade Room, Bow Wow a.k.a. Shad Moss clapped back at one fan that apparently throwing shade at his crib.
