'DWTS' Derek Hough Injury Forces Nastia Liukin Out of Competition? Mark Ballas Rushes Dancer to Hospital

Another season, another Dancing With the Stars injury. While season 20 is down to the top 7 it looks like one of the front-runners for the mirror ball trophy might be out of commission, literally. Five-time winner Derek Hough has suffered a little set back, which might make his and partner Nasta Liukins changes of taking home the gold just a distant memory, as Derek suffered an injury during rehearsals. The professional dancer, who is also starring in Radio City Music Halls New York Spectacular doesn't have Liukin to blame for his injury but rather Maria Menounos.

According to E! News, Derek and his former partner, Menounos, were rehearsing a dance for the show's 10th anniversary show when Derek suffered an injury. So will this force him out of the running for the top honor? Well according to the news site, Derek has a broken toe and a sprained ankle, which could have possibly caused some ligament damage.

Fellow DWTS pro, Mark Ballas was there for Derek in his time of need, as he went to the hospital with his buddy and even rolled him around in a wheelchair. Ballas took to his Instagram account to post a get-well picture of Derek.

"Long night in the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother," Mark wrote in the caption. "But he had me @bcjean & @corkyballas there by his side. #fam."

Maria reached out to her former partner on Mark's Instagram post, writing, "Ugh Mark when I heard him scream I knew we were in trouble! #fingerscrossed @getbetterfast."

Fans are definitely hoping that Derek didn't do any real damage to his foot, as him and Nastia are in the running to win the whole competition. We are echoing Menounos' sentiments when we say get well soon, Derek.
